Inclusive and accessible

An inclusive service

Our clinic and our health services are for everybody.

We welcome people of all ages, abilities, genders, sexualities, races, nationalities, cultures and religions.

We strive to make our clinic inclusive, and continue to learn about the diverse needs of our community.

If you feel that we can better cater to you, please let us know.

Accessing our services – cost, referrals, claims, clinic access

Financial access

We set our fees to cover the cost of delivering quality healthcare services but keep them affordable to the people who use them.

We reduce our fees for concession card holders and, if possible, bill third-party payers direct so you are not unnecessarily out of pocket or having to seek reimbursement yourself.

Referrals

You do not need a referral to access our services; you can book with us directly.

Some people are eligible for Medicare rebates on a special care plan referral from their GP.

If you are accessing our services on a WorkCover or TAC claim you may or may not require a referral from your GP in order to get approval (link for more information). If it has been more than 3 months since your injury or if you have had a gap in your treatment or haven’t accessed any services yet you may need a GP referral.

Third-party payers

If you use private health insurance, we claim directly to your insurer via HICAPS so you only pay the gap.

We see people with TAC claims and WorkCover claims. When your treatment is approved, we bill directly to the agent with no gap cost to you. Go to WorkCover and TAC injuries.

We bill directly to Medicare, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, NDIS and Aged Care providers so you don’t have to pay and then be reimbursed.

Disability access information

Our clinic is accessible to people with mobility disabilities from the Barker Street entry.

If you find it difficult to visit us because of the layout of our clinic please let us know
